A Pair With The Lord Jesus

God sent His only begotten Son into the world so that His Son might make friends with those God foreknew; they are conformed to the likeness of his Son, sharing in life with him. And so the Bible said, "God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful." (1 Corinthians 1:9).
It is not just fellowship with His Son; God the Father, who sent His only begotten Son into the world, also wants to share in the fellowship of His Son. It is the will of God that He has true fellowship with the whole world through His Son. It is written, "We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ." (1 John 1:3).
If anyone is a pair with the Father's beloved Son, He considers him as His own son. Therefore, the Bible said, "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" (Romans 8:32). And also, "For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, 'Abba, Father.'" (Romans 8:15).
Therefore, we now call God our Father because we received Jesus His only begotten Son, believed in him, became a pair with him in the Holy Spirit, and received the right to become children of God. And so, it is written, "Jesus said, 'Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" (John 20:17).
It is written about the fellowship between Jesus the only begotten Son of God and us, "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." (John 15:13-15). He is our friend who laid down his life for our life.
This is the substance of his love for us; he first loved us. Fellowship between friends is not one-sided, it is exchanged between them, as it is written, "We love because he first loved us." (1 John 4:19). And so the Bible says, "Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. He says, 'I will declare your name to my brothers; in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises.'" (Hebrews 2:11-12).
Because he is our true friend who laid down his life for our sin, we can now become a pair with him if we do what he commands. This is the mystery of half a shekel. It is written, "who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time." (1 Timothy 2:6).
A pair of close friends cannot be separated. The two are united to become a pair. The Bible said about this mystery: Two half-a-shekels are united to become a shekel. The Lord Jesus and his friend Peter were united to become a pair as two half-a-shekels were united to become a shekel. The Bible says, "...go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you." (Matthew 17:27).
Today, there are so many half-a-shekels who say Jesus is their friend, but there are few ones who became a pair, a shekel with Jesus, and to whom Jesus says, "You are my friend." If anyone does not become a pair with Jesus, he cannot dwell in the house of God forever. Therefore, only a pair with Jesus can dwell with Jesus in the house of the Father forever. This gospel of a pair of friends is the eternal gospel.
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers." (1 John 3:16). Amen. Thank you, Lord.
