The Eternal Blessedness That the World Doesn't Know

Truly believing in the Lord Jesus means being joined to the Lord. Anyone who has received such faith as a gift has the witness in himself. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The Bible says, "He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son." (1 John 5:10).

If anyone believes the testimony that God has given of His Son, the substance of Jesus hoped for is formed in himself, and he is anointed with the Spirit of truth, who is the evidence of Jesus not seen, and he receives the right to become children of God.

The new covenant promises, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:12-13). Faith is receiving Jesus, and receiving Jesus is being joined to him and becoming the bride of the Lamb.

It is written, "'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church." (Ephesians 5:31-32). When man believes in Jesus, who partook of flesh and blood in this world, the will of God is fulfilled.

If the Lamb and the bride of the Lamb, that is, Christ and the church, who have been raised together, are prepared, the everlastingly blessed wedding supper will be held on that day. This is what God has wanted in Christ Jesus from before the creation of the world.

One husband, the Lord Jesus, came into the world in the flesh to find his mate--to do the will of God the Father. It is written by his prophet, "Then I said, 'Here I am, I have come--it is written about me in the scroll.'" (Psalms 40:7). And again, it is written by his apostle, "Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll--I have come to do your will, O God.'" (Hebrews 10:7).

New lives can be united together not in the flesh seen but in the faith not seen. So the Bible says about those who are joined to the Lord, "But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him." (1 Corinthians 6:17).

And also, the Bible says, "However, as it is written: 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.'" (1 Corinthians 2:9). Anyone who doesn't remain true to the faith doesn't know it.

The bride of Christ, which is his body, the church, is hidden with Christ deep in God, loving each other eternally, as it is written, "I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, By the gazelles or by the does of the field, Do not stir up nor awaken love Until it pleases." (Song of Songs 2:7).

Therefore, those who are joined to the Lord are blessed in the love of God for ever and ever. Thank you, Lord.
