Blessed People Ruled by the Peace of the Lord

For people having eternal blessedness, the peace of the Son of God rules in their hearts. Those who live a new life have this peace in their hearts, always pray, give thanks, and rejoice.
The peace that the Lord gives is different from the peace that the rulers, the authorities and the powers of this dark world give. The Lord himself said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27).
The Bible exhorts, "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful." (Colossians 3:15).
The peace of Christ is not given to everyone. The Bible says about it, "However, as it is written: 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." (1 Corinthians 2:9).
The people of Christ seek a better country, passing through this world, this wilderness. They follow in the footsteps of the Lord in the light of the Word, eating this peace and drinking the one Spirit.
The men of this world, like Esau, who for one morsel of lentil stew sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son, receive the peace of this world but ignore the true peace. They cannot have part in the true peace. Although they say they receive the true peace, they, like Esau, just marry the daughter of Ishmael--the peace that the world gives.
The Bible says about the true peace, "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body." (2 Corinthians 4:8-11).
The Bible also says about the strangers who have the true peace and seek the true homeland, "Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. They were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated--the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground." (Hebrews 11:36-38).
Therefore, those who belong to the world cannot know what the peace the Lord gives is. It is written, "The LORD was with Joseph and he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master." (Genesis 39:2). Those who are in the flesh cannot know what the prosperity of Joseph is. That's why they who are ruled by Satan exchange the true peace for a lie by quoting from the Bible.
They seduce people, usually quoting this passage, "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." (3 John 1:2). Particularly they quote: "I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you." These words are a very sweet temptation to those who belong to the world and are in the flesh because they cannot find the true peace meant by these words.
Christian prosperity in all things means being hated by the world and suffering with Christ. True Christians don't have their portion in the world. It is written, "With Your hand from men, O LORD, From men of the world who have their portion in this life, And whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure. They are satisfied with children, And leave the rest of their possession for their babes. As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness." (Psalms 17:14-15).
Therefore, the prosperity in all things means Christian growth: Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
The Lord said, "If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." (John 15:19).
The peace that the Lord gives is the same as the peace that Joseph received. It is written, "The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph's authority, because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper." (Genesis 39:23). Amen.
Truly blessed are those who know the meaning of the passage, "whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper." Thank you, Lord.
