Will Only One out of Three Be Saved?
2004-10-04 21:39
The Bible says, "'In the whole land,' declares the LORD, 'two-thirds will be struck down and perish; yet one-third will be left in it. This third I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, They are my people, and they will say, The LORD is our God (Zechariah 13:8-9).'"
All people are not the same. If we, being led by the Spirit, consider the will of God written in the Word of Truth, we can see that there are three kinds of people. God's friend, Abraham also had three people: Eliezer, Ishmael, Isacc. But all of them were not the same.
The two people, Eliezer and Ishmael during the time of Abram were not saved, but only the third, Isacc who was born a new life through promise during the time of Abraham was saved.
Therefore, the two people who are under the old covenant of the LORD God cannot be saved, but only the third who is under the new covenant of God the Father and has the life of Christ can be saved.
This world is all in God's arms. Although all people are in God's arms, they are divided into three kinds.
The first people, although they are in God's arms, do not know God, and the second people, although they know God, do not obey Him, but the third people are submissive to God and obey Him.
Therefore, it is written in the Bible, "He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus (2 Thessalonians 1:8)."
It is written about the first people who never know God, "But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish (2 Peter 2:12)." And again, "Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals--these are the very things that destroy them (Jude 1:10)."
It is written about the second people, "For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles (Romans 1:21-23)."
The Lord himself said about the third people, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me (John 10:27)." They deny themselves and take up their crosses daily and follow the Lord.
God said to the third people, "This third I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are my people,' and they will say, 'The LORD is our God.'"
No one could count the number of the third people in all the earth. It is written, "After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: 'Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb (Revelation 7:9-10).'"
Although no one could count the great multitude, there will be only those who wear white robes and hold palm branches in their hands and stand before the throne and in front of the Lamb, as it is written. Here the white robes mean Christ.
Therefore, the Lord said to the third people who will inherit the kingdom of God with him, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am (John 14:1-3)." Amen. Thank you, Lord.
